The Formula Editor enables you to quickly add a formula expression.

To display the Formula Editor, click the "Edit" button. The text field to the left of the button indicates the current formula expression. This field is not editable.

Features of the Formula Editor
The Formula Editor provides the following features to support creation of formula expressions:
Formula Editor feature | Description |

(1) Function list | Displays all available functions. Double-click a function, to insert it into the Formula field. The functions are separated in categories (see tabs). |
(2) Help area | Describes the function or operator selected in the function list and/or |
(3) „Type-ahead"- functionality for functions and XPath expressions | Here you can enter the formula expression. You can press the CTRL + Space key combination to display a popup menu, from which you can select a function and/or a type path selection within an addressing function (node functions). |
(4) Syntax check and execution of the formula expression | Checks the syntax used in the formula expression. |
